Pitch Black Process, formerly known as Affliction, consisting of Emrah Demirel, EmreDemirel, Kerem Inci and Fikri Yargici came to being in February 1999.
In a short while, Affliction progressed considerably and on May 23 1999 found themselves giving their first concert to their listeners in Izmir at Ege University .
Affliction released their debut album, “One Reality”, in 2004.
They played at some important concerts like Katatonia and Dark Tranquillity as an opening act and played some big festival with the names like Slayer, In Flames, Destruction, UDO and many...
Affliction released their second album, “Execution Is Necessary” in 2007.
They achieved some “firsts” in Turkey like ; first HD metal video, first Turkish music video which released on net, first Turkish band (in all music genre) which made longest abroad tour, first Turkish artist who accepted by such a brand like PRS to their official artist roster.
Now, Affliction gonna play in Kalmar/Sweden at Rockbay Festival with the bands like Dark Tranquillity, Evergrey, Engel and Witchery on 28th August.
Affliction gonna be the only foreign band at the fest and as the organizers stated at their bulletin: Fest gonna be the international with Affliction.
After the tours, Affliction started to write new material for their 3rd album. Meanwhile they were invited for a festival which took place for the first time at Kalmar/SWEDEN with Dark Tranquillity, Evergrey, Engel, etc. Due to some financial problems the festival was canceled but organizers asked Affliction to play for a gig at Kalmar. They went there and reaction was huge! Affliction were welcomed as if they were from Sweden.
After that great experience, Affliction turned back to writing process. For the time being, Affliction made a hard decision; due to some conflict and confusion they have been faced at abroad and net; they decided to change the name of the band!
