The Hellcat was one of our first original Schecter designs in 1996, and was introduced in our Diamond Series line in a faithful custom shop reproduction in 2002.
We decided to retro inject it even more in 2005 by changing the original Duncan Designed MH mini humbuckers to a low output Duncan Designed SC-104 single coils. The Wilkson VS-50 tremolo was replaced by a ‘jaguar’ style tremolo and a roller bridge.
This one year Hellcat experiment is a very vintage sounding instrument, great for a ’60s jangle or perfect for Seattle era grunge when run through an EH big Muff.
3-Tone Sunburst and Vintage White (shown) where the standard finishes.
