Probably no instrument has pushed the boundary of what can be expected from Schecter as much as the Jazz-7.
We did an oversized semi-hollow (large hollow body with a small block under the TOM bridge only) and it worked! Most of our competition would look like a fish out of water if they tried this.
Introduced in 2001, the Jazz-7 featured a bound maple body, with a set-in 22-fret 25.5” scale maple neck.
Other features included dual ‘f’ holes, Block inlays, Grover tuners, and two (2) Duncan Designed HB-101 vintage humbuckers, which can be ‘tapped’ via the individual TONE controls.
Standard finishes were Gloss Black, See-Thru Cherry , Vintage Natural Gloss and Dark Vintage Sunburst.
A Jazz-6 was also available!
The Jazz-7 was discontinued at the end of 2002, with probably less then 100 made.
