PT ELITE (2001-2002)

Introduced in 2001, the PT ELITE enhanced our famed ‘double hum tele’ image.

Similar to our US built Custom Shop PT CET model, the Elite features included a bolt-on 25.5” scale maple neck, bound 22 fret rosewood board, mahogany body with figured maple top (with sleek elbow and waist cuts), Grover tuners and a Hardtail bridge.

The inlays changed 3 times over the 2 year lifespan of the PT Elite, from the into with dual diamonds at the 12th position (shown), to complete diamonds, and ending in 2002 with standard ‘dot’ inlays. Confusing? Maybe a little.

Pickups were Gold Covered Duncan Designed HB-102 humbuckers.
Standard Finishes were Black Cherry and Vintage Natural Gloss (shown).

The PT Elite was replaced in 2003 by the arched set-neck PT Custom.
