After four years together, over 300 blistering shows, eleven Festival appearances, many sold out head-lining gigs, a solid offering of two highly successful EPs and the release of one Live Album featuring three brand new tracks, a courageous yet confident move that shows off the bands real strength, Melbourne rock maestros Jericco are now back to offer a taste of things to come.
Stylistically, ‘Jericco’ stands out from similar acts of its genre with great pride and power. The prominent Middle Eastern influence throughout the band’s thundering live performances is completely authentic, and resonates at the core with their rapidly expanding fan base.
A band’s debut album is always a momentous occasion, and for powerhouse Melbourne rock act Jericco, theirs is no exception. After two incredible EPs, a live album and literally hundreds of live shows across the nation, Jericco unleashed Beautiful in Danger on APRIL 19th, and they kick off a massive bout of touring from May 2013.
The record in it’s first two weeks created waves on the iTunes charts peaking at number 12 on the rock charts and broke through the top 100 in the overall charts. A week after the release the album rose to number 16 on the AIR charts in Australia.
Produced by the great Forrester Savell, the album marks a stylistic change for the band, with their epic sound being honed and refined into 11 streamlined, accessible but still powerful rock anthems. The band have created something very original, and very beautiful in Beautiful in Danger, and it is set to take its place alongside the great debut records in Australian rock.
