As a Left Handed Bassist, you know there are very few quality bass guitars available. For over 30 years I have had to "Buy Before I Try" hoping that it will all work out. Well, as you may know, it usually doesn't. This purchase, on the other hand. worked out beautifully. Totally worth it. Set neck construction, neck is perfectly straight and very stable, fast thin neck, fretwork and ebony fingerboard are outstanding with no dead notes, binding is fantastic, MOP is great and really pops under the lights, ultra access heel feels wonderful offering full access in the second position, electronics are fat and versatile, instrument balance is perfect, absolutely zero neck dive, the instrument stays in place based on how you position it on your body, The satin finish is great, however, I will say this, the pictures shown do not accurately reflect the actual color scheme of whats happening. The color is actually much darker than pictured, the red doesn't stand out as much as you might think. This is good. The reason I didn't buy this instrument much sooner was specifically because of the red color. I don't like red. Upon receiving I can say I am very happy with the color. Looks more like a satin burgundy with black burst edges, overall much darker and I like that. I only wish Schecter offered this is the trans black for lefties...oh well. Bottom line is this...... This bass is built solid and blows away anything out there in that price range and for a set neck instrument, I don't think you will find a set neck left handed 5 string bass for anywhere near this price or quality. I dare say that this bass plays even better than my boutique bass. Note: I own the bolt on version of the same instrument and the comparison is night and day. Although they look similar, they are quite noticeably different and in a good way. This bass is fantastic and I doubt you will find anything that closely compares in that price range. If you purchase this bass, plan on a full setup from a qual
