I bought this bass 3 years ago and it has been everything I've ever dreamed of. The pickups are passive letting you get that vintage crunch in the middle tone. Layered with an active Pre amp EQ this bass gets LOUD with a lot of detail in the mids. The tuning keys are of excellent quality 22.1 ratio. The bass is not that heavy coming in at 18lb with amazing balance and no neck dive. This bass feels like one solid instrument with no creeking or moving parts. The carbon fiber truss rods have prevented warping these last few years and the bass has kept it's original luster. Strings are replaceable in a flash with the hardtail provided. The neck is incrediblely thin staying even across the entire board. My only improvements would be dug in pick ups for playability. Thumb rest on the 24th fret marker. Fanned frets would really bring out the tone on this Instrument. The pickups sound incredibe. Coil splitting would be appreciated but not needed.
