I recently finally purchased one of these after a couple of months looking for a new guitar. I was looking for a consistent sound, that was easy to play and would stay in tune a lot more than my current guitar at the time. I had tried a guitar from a brand that was £3500 and although it was great it just was a bit too far out of my price point. That's when I had decided to look again at a lower price point, albeit not expecting to find a guitar that would really meet my needs. When I saw the SLS Elite and I checked the spec, I was surprised. It had all of those things that were on the £3500 custom handmade guitar from another smaller manufacturer but for some reason, in some ways the SLS Elite is better. The Neck Through Access Heel is just brilliant as it gets out of your way and doesn't hinder any access to the 24th fret. For any guitar company to have Fishman Fluence Modern pickups on their production guitars is quite rare at the moment (with exception to a few other companies). Schecter have been really progressive with their guitar lineup's in the last couple of years and I think the SLS Elite demonstrates that. It doesn't hold the same "Metal" guitar aesthetic that something like the Hellraiser series would but I think thats what adds to the SLS Elite. You can use it in multiple genres and it just works. It just has a subtle modern look to it. If anyone is looking for the highest spec production guitar with every feature possible for a fair price, this is the guitar for you. The stainless steel frets don't feel any harder to play and combined with the compound radius getting around the fretboard is just so easy. I would recommend getting the SGR-1C case if you are intending to buy this guitar as it really completes the whole package. I couldn't be happier with the guitar and the quality and sound it provides.
