NAMM 2014 Wrap Up - Booth, Artist signings and more!
Winter NAMM 2014 is a chance for many companies to introduce new products, present artist signings, and generally have a great time with alt he well know parties that come with NAMM. As always, Schecter did not disappoint, launching several new and innovative products this year.
Along with the presentation of guitars, basses, and amplifiers, Schecter hosted an array of clinics and artist signings. Throughout the NAMM Show, Schecter’s own Sergio Vega alongside Patrick Kennison of Heaven Below hosted in-depth clinics demonstrating the versatility of Schecter’s amplification line which included the innovative Schecter Depth Charge cabinet. During the clinics, Patrick Kennison was ripping on the new Schecter Hellraiser Hybrid C-7 that features active EMG 57/66 pick-ups, compound radius neck, ebony fingerboard, and a mahogany body with a maple top to show off the amplifier’s monstrous tone. Guitar phenoms, Jeff Loomis and Keith Merrow rocked the stage in the Schecter booth demonstrating their unequivocal technique while performing new music from their upcoming, self-titled debut album Conquering Dystopia, which is set to be released February 14th.
Many familiar faces were present on Friday and Saturday to meet with fans and sign autographs. On Friday, Jeff Loomis, Keith Merrow, Gary Holt, Sam Bettley, and Jinxx greeted hundreds of eager fans. Saturday was no different with Black Label Society (full band) and Synyster Gates and Johnny Christ from Avenged Sevenfold stopping by the Schecter booth to show their sincere appreciation to those who have supported them throughout the years. The room was continuously packed with diehard fans while the line of anticipating devotees was overflowing the hallway. Both of Saturdays signings were extended beyond scheduled times to make sure the guys had the opportunity to meet with everyone that was waiting in line. Thanks guys! Schecter definitely has the coolest artists! This year Schecter once again hosted an insane party at the famous Grove of Anaheim, in Southern California. Headlining the event was Black Label Society, Jeff Loomis’ new band Conquering Dystopia, and Rex Brown’s Kill Devil Hill. This was a night of music, drinking, celebrating with artists, fans, and friends of this great industry. Schecter would like to thank their wonderful sponsors: Jagermeister, Coldcock Whiskey, Stone Brewery, Guitar World, EMG, Hartke/Sampson, Backstage Artist Lounge, Marshall, and the Take Me Home Animal Foundation. SEE YOU NEXT YEAR ANAHEIM!!!
