Back to how it all began.
Wound for what's next.

Before the guitars, there were the parts. in 1976, Schecter Guitar Research built its name crafting-high quality replacement components for players chasing better tone, better feel, and better quality. From precision-machined bridges and hand finished necks to early pickup designs - Schecter became the quiet force behind some of the most recognized instruments of the era. Trusted by builders and players who refused to settle for ordinary.

The new Masterworks USA pickups are a direct continuation of our hot rod-ing lineage. Rooted in the same attention to detail that defined our early days, each Masterworks Pickup is handcrafted in California using time-honored techniques that we've refined over five decades. We aren't reinventing the wheel - but we're reconnecting to an era where each component made a difference and something you felt.

Every pickup is meticulously designed, wound, assembled, and tested to deliver exceptional clarity, dynamic response, and uncompromising tone. The USA Masterworks pickups collection is a return to our roots, honoring our rich heritage while continuing the pursuit of innovation that has defined Schecter for over half a century.

Our USA Masterworks Pickups will be introduced through an intentionally paced rollout. Our team is already at work developing the next batch, ensuring every pickup receives the time, attention, and craftsmanship it deserves. By producing in limited quantities, we remain committed to the uncompromising quality that has defined Schecter for over 50 years.

Much like the handcrafted replacement pickups and components that first put Schecter on the map in the ‘70s, Synyster Gates helped introduce a new generation of players to the brand.
As we return to our roots with USA Masterworks, there is no more fitting place to begin than with our most iconic artist partnerships.
