Reviews

Not completely satisfied!!

Beautiful guitar, plays great. Only one issue for me, the bridge pick up sounds so thin when using a clean sound!! It sounds like a single coil pick up, absolutely nothing like my 2 PRS's, a very old Ibenez and a Peavey Wolfgang that I have!!! (They all sound similar through my gig set up). Not sure what to do.

Great guitar

This is a beast love the pickup in bridge position. Neck is fast

Easy to play...fun

Andy...the bridge p/u is Sustaniac it's a single coil p/u...the other half is the "sustainer" that drives the strings.
It's a wonderful guitar.

Guitare magnifique. Le manche est fin et permet un jeu rapide. Le son est excellent avec le micro chevalet, j'adore.
Le Sustainiac est énorme....

A beautiful beast!

Incredibly beautiful guitar! Photos do NOT do it justice! Wow! It is a true work of art.

It plays and sounds as good as it looks too! The ebony fretboard and stainless steel frets are like bending a string over ice. Soooo smooth! I'm having fun playing with the Sustainiac as well. It's a single coil in the neck position so it may not get the full subtleties of tone if it were a true humbucker, but it still has a nice sound to it and this guitar was made to rip on the bridge pickup anyway. Lol

That said, the tone and intensity knobs work great to tailor the tone as well.

I might buy another just to frame and hang on the wall. It's just that beautiful!

Weapon of Mass Destruction and the Ultimate Hot Rod to Play

I own several high end guitars, and they all serve a purpose. HOWEVER - this, bar none is the best guitar that I have laid my hands on for hard rock.
The USA Apocalypse VI bridge pick up is absolutely phenomenal. Paired with the Sustainiac, you are in a for a wild ride. The sustain holds for days. You can actually model/ bend the feedback. Again I pushing high output. You could knock of Pantera - Cemetery Gates without blinking an eye.
Handling of this weapon of mass destruction is exceptionally smooth and light.
I modelled my amp to Reb Beech and this weapon screamed. It is so ridiculous and such a pleasure to play, that I cannot stop putting it down.
If you don't have one in your collection, you are missing out.
Well Done - Schecter!!
