Reviews

This should be your first 8 string!!!

All I can say is WOW! The EMGs are fantastic, with enough room to dial in your own sound. I was very surprised how smooth the neck is, I was expecting a snowboard, and it’s not. The scale length is longer which is needed for a guitar like this, the intonation is spot on when you get used to the neck and string pressure, I run this through a Headrush gigboard, a Line 6 PODgo, and a Boss SY200 synth pedal and it is never muddy. Even with a crazy synth sound.
<br> This is my second Schechter 8 string and for the price, there is NO better 8 string on the market. The finish, the bat inlays, the EMGs, the silky smooth neck make this guitar worth twice the price.

Great 8 String, bad volume knob placement

Really good for a starter to mid level 8 string. Its struggles a bit on higher notes but thats the average with 8 steings. My ONE and ONLY real issue is the volume knob. Schecter made them so buttery smooth that the lightest brush from my hand while im picking turns the knob a 3/4s rotation. Considering most metal guitarist would have there hand there while picking, the knob is a real burden. Im debating on glueing it down.
