Amazing Instrument

I purchased my original Hellcat VI new back in 2012. This was the earlier model without the 3 On-Off Coil Split Slider Switches. As a soundtrack composer and multi-instrumentalist, I was looking for an instrument that I could use in the studio to lay down both basslines, low-end power chords and surf/twang lead lines without having to change instruments. I had converted several guitars to Baritones, but wanted something even lower in register and angrier sounding. The Hellcat was that instrument. This was my first Schecter and I didn't know what to expect. I'm not into pointy guitars, nor a metal guy and had associated the brand with that scene. However, I had read enough good reviews of the Hellcat VI to give it a try. When I opened the box the first thing I noticed was the excellent build quality and impeccable fit and finish. I added heavier strings and ended up tuning in open 4ths so I could power-chord up and down the neck. I plan on buying another of the newer models.
