A surprisingly nice acoustic charmer

I've admired Grant Lee Phillips for some time, and was intrigued by this guitar but not by Schecter-- I'd always seen them as a "metal" brand. Well, when I saw Munly Munly (of Munly and the Lupercalians, Slim Cessna's Auto Club, etc.)-- another of my creative heroes-- playing one, I had to try one. And MAN-- I'm impressed. Bang for the buck wise this is a GREAT buy. Proportionally a "parlor" in look, it's more the size of Gibson LG. The tone is less "woody" and bitey than what I expected-- its voice is almost dreadnought like but not quite as loud. The Elvis and Everly Bros star inlays are great. The case is fantastic, too-- arched top, green interior and real leather handle. If you were doubting Schecter as a maker or acoustics, doubt no more.
