Incredible price point

The playability and sound is well into boutique guitar range for a fraction of the price. I have owned several boutique and custom brands. My first Shecter and it is incredible. You have a new customer! This blows away all those other sticky guitar brandsmade in Indonesia. Great Neck! If you build one with SS Frets and hard I'll buy that also. Special thanks to Black Mountain Guitars Cave Creek.

Schecter's classic strat

Just a beautiful guitar with a lovely neck. The pickup configuration is very cool too and gives you so much range with just a switch. The humbucker setting isn't as hot as I was expecting but it still adds a nice depth to the pickup choices. I'm glad I waited a few months for this to show up- it was well worth the cost.

So close.

Reverse the angle of the pups, give it an upside-down headstock, put the switch on the horn, and I'll buy one.

Well over my expectations

I must say that I'm very impressed. Got one sonic blue sent to me to try from Fitzpatrick, distributor of Schecter guitars in Sweden. It's really good in quality, feel and playability. Feels expensive. But what impressed me the most was that the pickups was stellar too. I can use this guitar for whatever. From Jaz to pop to hard rock to metal. No probs at all, and all the settings with the pickup selector is suer usable. All positions sound great. Tremolo is basically a Gotho 510 but it's Mae by Schecter. I can't feel the difference at all.

Classic Looks & Sound - Modern Playability

I purchased the Olympic White with the Wenge neck. The guitar looks/sounds/plays like a more expensive guitar. Really nice build quality. I like the fact that it has a "modern" neck (24 frets, 14" radius, relief at the heel for upper fret access) but looks like a classic. You get all the traditional Strat sounds plus a few more thanks to the pick-up configuration.

OMG I love it !!!!

Took delivery yesterday and OMG am I impressed. So easy to play. The neck is fabulous in shape and the amazing lovely finish. The pickups are awesome and the flexibility of tones available is fantastic. Stays in tune after using the trem. Plus, the guitar is beautiful. What more could you ask ? I've been after a single coil guitar for a long time but I don't get on with Fenders. This is the answer to my prayers. I've been playing non-stop since it arrived and I'm totally in love.
This is my first Schecter. It certainly won't be my last.

Schecter, Where have you been hiding this guitar half my life?

So close to considering a NJ HSS or a SVSS then spotted this on a YT review and had to have it. Finally a full tilt modern take on the super strat category. Sound and playability is excellent. Fantastic neck. The pickup configuration options are unique but familiar and perfect.

This not just a strat with a humbucker in the bridge. After experiencing it, I totally get the angling of the pickups. If you want a sweet humbucker function in the bridge of your 24 fret strat AND your tele sounds AND full, usable middle and neck positions in one guitar, try this instead. Plenty low end response so no concern there. I love all of these switch positions clean/driven/dirty.

Very impressed this isn’t custom shop or Japan priced because it looks, sounds and feels like it.

Great concept - just wish playability was better

I was intrigued by the pickup configuration - humbucker, Strat & Tele tones from one guitar.
I also wanted to try Schecter's Dark Side USA pickups - this seemed like an ideal platform.

Schecter's ultra-thin C neck is my favourite profile, but the regular thin C was still comfortable in terms of size.

Unfortunately the trem on the guitar I received was mounted slightly crooked, & I found the fingerboard edges uncomfortable. They didn't seem smoothed at all. Surprising as my Reaper-6 has very comfortable edges.

Really hope Schecter can address this & ensure any of their models at this price point & up do have smoothed fingerboard edges.

I ended up getting a (discontinued) Legator OS6 instead. All the shredder specs I like - ultra-thin neck, stainless frets, 16" radius, luminlays. And a recessed Gotoh 510 trem. HSS Guitarmory Atlas pickups sound great. will have to find something else to try Schecter's Dark Side set in. Gap in the market there for Schecter to try similar!
