Reviews

A very thorough review

I bought one of these from the original owner a few days ago, and love everything about the bass EXCEPT for the split coil (P-Bass style) pickup. Absolutely HORRIBLE response from that pickup, so I removed it and for now, I'm just using the bridge (MM-style) pickup. I like what I'm getting from THAT pickup, it's a nice full-range tone, and it will do until I can find a suitable split-coil replacement. Unfortunately, the stock split-coil is slightly larger than the "standard" split-coil, so I may have to have one made to the specs of the original. The bass is a solid build, but I always make sure to tighten ALL of the screws...neck, tuners, and bridge, for continuity of sound, and the original owner had the neck Plek'd, which made for a nice feel, and the action is really nice! The bass is well balanced...no neck dive at all.
