Fantastic High quality guitar
ta
I just purchased Nick Johnston HSS in atomic snow color -this is my 4th Schecter guitar, and as always, amazed at the quality of Schecter guitars…. they simply blow away the competition in a similar price point. I sold my Stratocaster recently to buy this guitar and I am not disappointed. So many nice modern features for the price. Such as locking tuners ebony fretboard -roasted maple neck, and a modern fretboard radius to name a few. The neck especially is super silky smooth. I personally like having HSS configuration for more tonal options. It does have a coil split push/pull which is nice. The overall construction is absolutely stunning. Typical Schecter. Very good attention to detail and you can just tell by the feel of the instrument that everything is high-quality. Plus it came absolutely ready to play right out of the box; The only thing I would change is the brass inlays -They’re not very visible. Abalone dots would be nice.
One of the best HSS guitars I’ve ever played…

I’ve wanted an HSS strat for some time, and I found everything I could have wanted in this particular model.
The weight & balance are perfect. The neck is fast but doesn’t feel too skinny for my large hands, and the roasted finish is stunning. The locking tuners… why have I gone this long without putting locking tuners on every guitar I own? The trem is the first non-Floyd trem I’ve ever dive-bombed that didn’t go out of tune. The flawless finish on the body and the slight mint-green tinge to the white pickguard & other plastic bits is a gorgeous combination. The pickups sound phenomenal, although I feel the bridge humbucker is a bit too dark compared to the neck & mid single coils.
Overall, especially for the price point, this guitar is a top-quality sleeper that’s nearly impossible to beat.
Best Guitar, I've ever owned.

I absolutly love and recommend this guitar! The feel of the neck is so comfortable, I forget that I'm holding it. The body is cool and sleek. The pick ups are where its at! I love the fact that you have a coil split tone pot, just for the bridige pick up. You really have a 6 tone option guitar. The bridge is really nice to use and my strings stay in tune. You can't go wrong with guitar.

This is by far the nicest electric guitar I’ve ever played. Not just the nicest electric guitar under $1k, the nicest guitar period. I’ve been a long time Schecter customer and I love their guitars. The specs are fantastic for the price, great feeling necks, jumbo frets, solid build quality, and reasonable price. This guitar punches far above it’s price point and gives American fender’s a run for their money. If you want a fender Strat, try one of these first.
Beats out my Gibson sg61 and les oaul classic for playability. Best neck out there
John
Such an amzing guitar. Awesome build. Playability, fantastic. Color, amazing. Neck - best I have ever felt. I own a gibson les paul classic, sg61. Its crazy, but its my favorite guitar.
Looking forward to buying different Schexter guitars. If you’re on the fence, buy it.
Great.......BUT......

Ok, so the guitar as a whole is great, but I'm in the EU where the price is 1100-1300 Euro.
The trem arm doesn't stay put as the little screw go loose and the arm just drop out - That's terrible. I don't know if that is the reason that many youtubers test it without the arm :-) and it does flutter from time to time. So, if you do gigs you have to change it with something that works....Really Schecter?

This being a modern strat, I thought that the frets were SS, so that was disappointing to me. The frets are soft and need change rather quickly....Really Schecter?

Why aren't tuners staggered? If you actually get a trem that works and you use it, it would be super with staggered tuners, so you could lose the string tree, for more stability.

3.8 kg is quite heavy for a strat-like guitar imo. It doesn't matter if you just sit down at home practising/playing, but when you have it on the shoulder, it feels as heavy as a Les paul :-(
Anway.....great feel and playability :-)
Best guitar I've ever bought.

I am blown away at how nice this guitar is, I love everything about it. Neck is perfect, pickups sound great. For under $1k this guitar is worth every penny! I highly recommend to anyone who is thinking about buying this. Has the best 2 position I've ever heard. I've got 3 custom built guitars (all have expensive pickups) that are all HSS, and this one blows them away.
You won't regret buying one.

Guitar sounds great in every positions. It plays like $2500 guitars. The best name for your buck that your gonna find anywhere. I haven't picked up any other guitars In 6 months cause it does it all.
